OLUBUNMI FABAMWO LAGOS PSSDC DIRECTOR-GENERAL RETIRES

The Lagos State Commissioner for Establishment, Training and Pensions, Dr. Benson Akintola Oke has described the outgoing Director-General of the State Public Service Staff Development Centre, Mrs. Olubunmi Fabamwo as an administrator and intellectual par excellence.

The Commissioner stated this during the send-forth ceremony organised by the Ministry to celebrate Fabamwo’s disengagement from the Public Service, stressing that, “her excellence enabled her to serve two successful terms as the Director-General of the premier Public Service Training Institute, not only in Lagos but in Nigeria”, he said.

He further said that his experience working with Fabamwo since 2015 attests to her astuteness, competence, integrity and exemplary work ethics.

Oke emphasised that she is living behind a better PSSDC in comparison to the state of things before her assumption of office in 2009 and therefore applauded the transformation of the Centre in terms of infrastructure, relevance, output, standing in academic circles and quality of service to Public Service during her tenure.

The Head of Service, Mrs. Olabowale Ademola, represented by the Director, Post Service Department, Mrs. Durodola also eulogised the contribution of Fabamwo in capacity building at the centre especially the professionalisation of Administration and Human Resources cadre in the State Public Service.

In her response, Mrs.Olubunmi Fabamwo appreciated everyone for their goodwill messages and thanked the State Government for providing her with the necessary support and suitable environment to operate.

She emphasised that PSSDC has become a unique brand which the next leadership must endeavour to build on, adding that her performance at the PSSDC was as a result of her determination to achieve a high standard in all her endeavours.

Mrs. Regina Olubunmi Fabamwo was appointed as the Director-General of the Centre on May 18, 2009‎ by the Lagos State government.
