Recently the management of the popular Lagos based Radio station held a press confrence to announced activities for their annual show tagged: Salute To The Flag, according to Oscar Oyinsan, the show was
creatively designed to take care of Nigerian music and content, with a
strategic connection towards Nigeria’s independence celebration, he also hinted that The Management “Salute to the Flag” has been running for 4 years and this
year’s edition will be the 5th. In a statement made available to media men at the parley,this year’s event would run for a period of
one week (September 28th- October 3rd) with carefully mapped
out programs which includes an in-studio concert, a CSR day, a celebrity
football game as well as an independence concert at the Ikeja City Mall amongst
others.

Day 2: CSR Day
The management of City FM has also lined-up a new
CSR innovation, which will be the “Paint Your City” day. We are happy to inform
you that Area G Police Command was selected for thispurpose. We are also glad
to inform you that Celebrities, Comedians as well as OAPs of CITY FM will do
the painting of the Police Command.

Day 3: Novelty Football. Time: 11am – 4pm
A novelty football matchinvolving celebrities
playing against City FM OAPs.
The proposed venue is at Fun Turf in Lekki and
there is an expansion to the teams playing this year (with two additional
teams). This year, there will be team City FM OAPs, Actors/Comedians, Artistes
and TPL All-Star.
Day 4: Ikeja City Mall Concert.
Time: 11am – 5pm
The concert at Ikeja City Mall has been on for
two years and it started out of a need to do more and get a lot of crowd to be
in tune with the brand (CITY FM).
This year’s edition will be the third one and
will hold at the car park section for the first time although previous editions
have been inside the mall but the need for space had encouraged an outdoor
scenario for this year’s celebration.
The event will parade upcoming artiste
performances, comedy, treasure hunt, dance competitions and other fun
activities.
Friday October 2, 2015
Day 5: In-Studio Concert. Time: 11am – Till
end of the day.
The in-studio concert is one like no other.The
day is entirely dedicated to artiste performances LIVE on air for the whole day.
Last year’s event witnessed over 50 artistes and it went on for the whole day.
This year, side attractions will be introduced
as fans can come be with their favourite stars.There will also be an orange
carpet where artistes will grant interviews to journalists and media
representatives and the venue is the City FM premises.
Saturday October 3, 2015
Day 6: House Party. Time: 7pm – Till next day.
The house party rounds up the whole event. An
evening of fun and games with lots to eat in a private house. The event will be
strictly by invitation and celebrities will join their fans to have an awesome
time while side attractions have also been organizedwith winners of games going
home with exciting gifts from all our sponsors.
