ANKARA CARNIVAL 2019: WE WILL EMPOWER THE YOUTH AND HELP THE LESS PRIVILEGED, PRINCESS TITILADE.

It's just some days to the 2019 edition of Ankara Carnival , part of activities lined up to  celebrate   Olojo Festival   a cultural festival in the calendar of  Ile-Ife,  Osun State,

According to the organizers  Ankara Carnival , will add glamour to the Olojo Festival ,  organized by the office of Sooko Moropo Titilade Adewuyi-Ijiwole, the one day event will feature , Music, Comedy, Games, Dance and lots more. 

It will interest you to know that, Ankara Carnival is a foremost segment of the Olojo Festival, the carnival event, showcases the richness of the Ankara Fabrics, with lots of traditional dances , youth empowerment and other other value  added programmes.

 According to the brain behind the event, Princess Titilade  Adewuyi -Ijiwole (Sooko Moropo, Yeye Giesi of the Source), the main purpose of the Ankara Day, is to celebrate the rich Yoruba Cultural heritage, through Fashion and life Style , the hardworking business woman and Educator also hinted that , the event is designed to add glamour to  the Olojo Festival, one of the major festival celebrated annually in Ile -Ife,  by His Imperial Majesty, Oba Adeyeye Enitan Ogunwusi , Ojaja II, she further revealed that the event will also create a platform for Fashion Designers, Ankara Fabric Vendors, Ankara Accessory Makers, Beads Makers, Shoe Makers and among others,  to showcase their products and services to thousands guests who are expected at the event.

" The ultimate aim of the initiative is also to empower the youth within the community" she concluded.  

 

Princess Titlade , is passionate with helping others., She is the family initator of "feed the elderly" in Ile ife. She is a philanthropy, she empowers young women, she is the matron of some organizations where she help in empowering the youth. 

Presently she  sponsoring some children's education in various schools.. 

Her new pet project "Adopt a child" is an opportunity for individuals and companies to contribute to the life of the less privilege in the  society. The initiative is open for collaboration with the corporate oraganisations and individual.

 

The event, Ankara Carnival  is slated for 27th September,2019 at the Royal  Palace, Afeworo ground, Enuwa, Ile -Ife, Osun State . Carnival starts from 10am.

10 QUEENS AND 10 KINGS HONOURED AT THE 2018 MR & MISS NIGERIA INTERNATIONAL.

The 7th edition  OF of  Mr. and Miss Nigeria International  pageant , the first and  only mixed  pageant in the country, tagged  heritage edition, has come and gone but the memory will linger on and on,  the grand finale  held at the popular Ruby Gardens Lekki in Lagos ,  featured Contest  parade , Music, comedy and award presentation to some outstanding Nigerians.

In his welcome address ,the Chief executive officer of Brendance & Crusader Ltd, the organizers of the event ,Brendan Nsikak, thanked those who have been supporting the pageant since inception, in his words " To everyone that has been there for us ,since we started , thank you for letting us in and for helping us forward, also I would like to  give thanks to the Almighty Father for bringing us thus far and giving us the strength, courage faith and determination to succeed" he submitted.

This year's edition was well organized  from picking and auditioning of the contestants, they emerged by voting to be the top choice of camping for the main event. With a total of 29 contestants , from age 17 - 25, each contestant represented  his or her respective  culture and states across  the country. The event kick started with an elaborate Red Carpet and followed by the main event ,it was an event to be remembered.

The grand finale was jam packed with lots of entertaining activities by the contestants, important guests, first class guest artists, distinguished jury members with supportive audience, Some of the artistes who added glamour to the event included  Nigerian Hip Hop Icons, EEDRIS ABDULKAREEM, TERRY RAPMAN, M-TRILL, along side OBAWAVER, SURPRIZE, IZU, ROMEO MAX, ROCK NANA among others.

There was also  guest appearances by Hip Hop Legend/Entrepreneur, AMBASSADOR ELAJOE, MC GALAXY, Hon. Chairman of Ijebu Ode LGA, Epe LGA, TOYIN LAWANI, Veteran Actress, NGOZI NWOSU and many others.

The Jury: Mr. & Miss Nigeria International has a reputation for attracting National and Internationally acclaimed jury members. This year's jury were the important heart of the Competition.choosing the winners was a very difficult because each of the contestant has something to offer.

The Olojo Festival is a culture festival in the calendar of the Ile-Ife,  Osun State, which is located in the Southwestern part of Nigeria. It is the celebration of the remembrance of “Ogun”, god of Iron, who is believed to be the first son of Oduduwa, progenitor of the Yoruba People. The festival is held annually in October.

HERE COMES BIMBO9JA

Talented , recording artist and a band owner. Abimbola Arowoselu,  Professionally known as BIMBO9JA, started her music career in the church choir and after some years, she worked with some A-list bands - bands like Courage Band, Bigteddi & The Shegele Crew, Qband and Sharpband all stars. She formed  her own band known as the B10 Band , over the years this Kwara State born artist alongside her band have performed in high profile event, weddings,  private , corporate events and  multi-national events in and out of the country major events like , NMVA, Ebonylivetv Launch, Eargasm, Buckwyld and Breathless, to mention a few.

That is not all , the 300 level Public Administration student of University Of Lagos . have also had the opportunity to worked with A-list Nigerian artists the list included  Necto c,Wizkid, Omawumi, 2Face Idibia, Olamide,  Mike Aremu, Timi Dakolo, amongst others. Bimbo9ja has also recorded popular songs cover. Currently this chubby and beautiful artist is  working a single  which will be released soon.

Plans are in advanced stages for the seventh Mr. and Miss Nigeria International pageant , the first and only mixed pageant in the country, tagged heritage edition, slated for Sunday 7th October,2018, the grand finale will feature contest parade , Music, comedy and award presentation to some outstanding Nigerians , who has contributed immensely to the growth of their chosen profession in the entertainment Industry, be it in Fashion, Music, Movie, Comedy, broadcasting etc, the awardees for 2018 included , veteran actress Ngozi Nwosu, Jimi Disu, Oke Umurhohwo, Toyin Lawani, among others.

The event which comes up at Ruby’s Garden, Lekki , Lagos , will feature special performance by Edris Abdulkareem along side some other note table Nigerian Artistes.

Every year the pageant brings together young men and women with poise and class. The pageant also showcases Diversity, Talent and Intelligence. Aside from the cash and other mouth watering prizes ,winners Miss Nigeria International , will automatically represent Nigeria at the Miss International World 2019,Miss International Global 2019,Miss International Supermodel 2019, while ,Mr Nigeria International ,will represent Nigeria at the Mr. National Universe 2019 and Mister Global 2019.

The seventh edition of Mr. and Miss Nigeria International 2018 pageant , is  on the move as preparations are in top gear  and due to public demand the organizers has decided to extend the sales of forms till 20th May,2018. Talented actress and movie producer will be a year older come Saturday 14th April,2018 .In other to make the a memorable one .plans are underway to celebrate the day with special children of the Modupe Cole Memorial Home in Akoka,Yaba Lagos. 

According to her " Its just my own little way of giving back to the society, that I have benefited from, those children are unique being and we need to show that they are not forgotten, they need love ,.She continues am using this opportunity to call on my friends m fans and well wishers to come and celebrate with and they should please come with gifts for the home, gifts like Wall fan, Groundnut oil ,Food items among others.
